Carissa is currently studying philosophy at San Francisco State University and is preparing her application for law school this year.  Over the years, she has been an active volunteer with local organizations such as the San Francisco School Volunteers and the San Francisco Bar Association.  She came to the Coming Home Project in the fall of 2009 as an retreat logistics volunteer.  Carissa believes strongly in the mission of the Coming Home Project and is honored to serve the veteran community.
