Who cares for the care provider?
Rabbi Hillel wrote:
"If I am not for me, who will be? If I am only for myself, what am I? If not now, when?"
We may know about secondary trauma, but it takes resolve to stop, look and listen, and then respond proactively to signs of compassion fatigue.
When we are nourished, not only do we nourish those we serve; our work nourishes us.  When we are emotionally and spiritually depleted, the cycle is reversed.
This retreat is an opportunity to renew and to reconnect with our own mind, body, heart, and spirit, in a safe and supportive setting with others.
We will learn:
To recognize the signs of compassion fatigue, explore methods to intervene early to avert burnout, identify common, but hidden, beliefs and conflicts, grow our capacity for well being, and make our compelling work emotionally sustainable and gratifying over the long haul.
Please join us for a weekend of rejuvenation in a place of quiet beauty Thursday, April 23rd (registration from 2-5pm) through mid-day Sunday, April 26th.
