Part of "Treating the Invisible Wounds of War: Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans, Families and Care Providers" series, a collaboration among the Coming Home Project, UCSF Health Effects of War Grand Rounds, and UCTV.
This will be a clinical discussion of the mental health needs of women who have served in the military, with particular emphasis on the emergent needs of women veterans of OIF and OEF (Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom).
Two main questions will be addressed:
- What do we need to know about working with military women (e.g., how are they different, what are their particular treatment needs)?
- How can we best serve them (e..g, what services are needed, what are the effective treatments, how best to work with them clinically)?
Email us your questions - contact@cominghomeproject.net - before the conference [during may also be possible].
