Joe, This retreat has been the most helpful seminar, vet group, PTSD group meeting . . . whatever that I have personally attended. Being a Navy Seabee, many know us ...some don't . . . we build anything, anywhere, anytime . . . our combat training is done by Marine instructors, and also Ranger instructors. 'Can Do" is our motto . . . we build . . . we fight . . . that's just what we do. While in Iraq . . . Balad, and Ar'Ramad we were attached to the 1st M.E.F (Marine Expeditionary Force) so we saw some crap...did a lot of crap, lost seven "brothers" our first 30 days in country...and the list goes on.

My wife has breast cancer . . . that’s our new fight, but we manage . . . day by day . . .oh yeah no health insurance for her either . . . so you can see and actually feel the stress we have. My wife and I know others have it much worse and just give it to GOD. We tell the bill collectors to stand in line . . . I actually tell then to come on over the house and we can chat in my back yard . . . anyway learning meditation and chi kung has helped me and my wife to relax some. I now talk to my family, kids which has helped . . . and your staff is excellent. Planning was perfect right down to the last minute . . . I only wish it was longer...lol. Thank you so very much and I really hope to see everyone again at another retreat soon. Much respect to your mission... Please send your letters to Joe at jbobrow@cominghomeproject.net |
